I believe that e/acc is the only game theory optimal strategy for competitive agents in the ruling class.
I do not see a reality in which policy and regulation can undo the trajectory of our environment, social trust, and health of all forms.
Some country or hegemony will underwrite the risk and social/environemntal impact of innovation and most forms of production will be winner take all until we achieve a truly post-scarcity economy.
I am largely disinterested in the decel movement. Time-to-arrival on a post-scarcity economy is achievable within my lifetime as well as biological longevity. I elect to be optimistic and forward-looking on how we can build utopia rather than lament over the state of things and delegate progress to political actors who have no strict incentive alignment.
I believe in infinite games. I don't like zero sum. I am self competitive and tribal. I like to string together small wins for momentum. I design systems - both in code and in life. I believe that the outcomes that require great effort are the endeavors worth pursuing.
I believe in long term games. Compounding interest, asymmetric returns, and passive return. Power law. This applies to business, relationships, hobbies, skills, and more.
I choose to be stubborn and convicted in my beliefs - but to keep an open mind to new information and trends. I believe that the most important intractable problems are social and political, and acknowledge that brute rationalism is not an effective solution to altering collective psychology.
I believe in utilitarianism to a point. See utility monster.
I believe most societal functions condition us to subservience and compliance. I choose radical agency and accountability for my outcomes, and seek others who reject the norms and elect for a higher risk tolerance in the pursuit of creation.
